After three months of fierce competition between 13 nations, the second semi-final of the Longines EEF Series is finally upon us, with the top 10 Central and Southern Regions joining together in a bid to book one of the five remaining places for the Finals in Warsaw, Poland, later this year.
The qualified nations from each Region will meet in Ebreichsdorf, Austria, on Friday, with the competition due at 15.00.
From the Central Region, host nation Austria will be joined by the show jumping superpowers that are Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany, as well as Slovakia after their incredible performance in front of their home crowd in Bratislava earlier this month, which secured them the final qualifying spot.
They will be coming up against reigning Longines EEF Series champions, Italy who will be entering the arena with a point to prove this week, along with Ukraine, fresh from their success in the fifth leg of the Series with a win in Athens, which will see the team heading to Austria with buoyed confidence.
Bulgaria, Greece and Romania complete the starters from the Southern Region in what is set to be a true clash of the 10 titans as they bid for their ticket to Warsaw.
